Check out the DIY Kitchen Reveal post for the rest of the Kitchen & Pantry Remodel story! Even if you like organizing, don’t skip my Laundry Room Organization story!
It was important to me that this pantry be both functional and attractive. I designed a large walk-in pantry because I like having everything we need daily within easy reach and a small backup inventory, so I don’t have to shop as often. To save money, I prefer to time it with when the products are at their lowest price. This gives me the ability to “shop” from my pantry.
With this in mind, I planned the pantry so that my stockpile could be stored in specific areas. I wanted a spot where I could store decanted products that we use frequently. Cereal, baking materials, and snacks are examples of this. I also required somewhere to store canned goods and other bulky products. We needed a location to keep chip bags and bars. Finally, we needed space for backups in our stockpile.
